The Southern African Geography Teachers’ Association (SAGTA) and the Society of South African Geographers (SSAG) are proud to host the South African National Geography Olympiad (SANGO) since 2017.
As we evolve, we hope to represent South Africa at the International Geography Olympiad, called the GeoOlympiad, (see: http://www.geoolympiad.org/) from 2024.
We are very proud to announce that the Royal Geographical Society (RGS) has endorsed SANGO and will be providing valuable funding/sponsorship in 2020.
Take part in SANGO this year… we would love to have as many schools from across South Africa to take part in this exciting competition – see the rules and participation guidelines below.
