The Wits School of Education is seeking to appoint a suitable candidate at Lecturer level to contribute to the School’s initial teacher education programmes, post-graduate teaching and supervision and research in Geography Education.

Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate must meet the following criteria to be appointed:

PhD in Geography or Geography Education.
A professional teachers’ qualification with Geography as a teaching subject (PGCE or B.Ed) is essential.
Experience in teaching Geography at Senior/FET school level and/or Geography subject methodology for teacher education at tertiary level
Evidence of research, post-graduate supervision and a publication record would be an advantage.

Remuneration: Dependent on qualifications and relevant experience.
